Tribute to the Fallen

The soundtrack on this video, “Lest We Forget”, was written by a former member of SASR on the night of Sergeant Andy Russell’s death in Afghanistan.

Memorial

The following Australian SAS personnel died whilst on active service or during training. Their sacrifice is commemorated on the SAS Memorial simply known as 'The Rock'. This solemn monument serves as a permanent tribute to the bravery and dedication of these fallen heroes, ensuring their memory lives on within the SASR community and beyond. 'The Rock' stands as a powerful symbol of the risks and sacrifices inherent in the demanding role of an SAS soldier, and provides a focal point for remembrance and reflection for families, comrades, and visitors alike.
